Our approach is to bring nature back into our lives, and connect our bodies and minds to really inspire optimal healing. This is reflected in the products we use - hand picking our ingredients as often as possible, and buying from local sustainable businesses.
Everything we buy comes from within Canada, most of which is within a 500 mile radius from where we brew & bottle. This includes our brewing vessels, bottles, labels, and ingredients/tools used to produce Home Grown Kombucha, right from brew to bottle.
We will never add fruit juices or purees to our tea...it just won't happen. By using real whole food ingredients we are ensuring that your body is getting the highest quality of nutrients, straight from the source. When we infuse these fruits and other goodies into the kombucha, you are getting added vitamins and minerals that our bodies need to function properly, and to support a healthy immune system.
You will find our kombucha to be less aggressive when it comes to the fizz factor; this is due to the choice we have made to keep our product as natural as possible. We believe that kombucha is incredible just the way it is, and there is no reason to mess with a good thing.
Home Grown Kombucha was born as a passion project; stemming from a passion to help others and revive the health of Northwestern Ontario, our Founder Shannon's hometown region.
Shannon began brewing kombucha in late 2016 for herself & her families needs, while living in Alberta, learning from a close friend who some would call a holistic health guru.
Since then, Shannon has returned to her hometown in Northwestern Ontario and has been actively perfecting the craft, experimenting with new flavours and creating a positive and healthy impact on the lives of countless men, women and children.
Home Grown Kombucha now serves hundreds of happy customers in Ignace, Dryden, Wabigoon, Thunder Bay, Fort Frances, Red Lake, Vermillion Bay, Sioux Lookout, Kenora, Winnipeg and beyond.
